The A89301GESSR is a three-phase sensorless brushless DC (BLDC) motor driver operating within a voltage range of 5.5 to 50V.

This device fully integrates a field-oriented control (FOC) algorithm to achieve optimum efficiency and acoustic noise performance. It optimises motor start-up performance during standstill, coasting, and even reverse coasting conditions.

Motor speed is controllable via analogue signal, PWM, or clock signal inputs. Optional closed-loop speed control is supported, with the speed-to-clock frequency ratio being programmable.

A simplified I²C interface facilitates setting the motor's rated voltage, rated current, rated speed, resistance value, and start-up curve. This interface also supports switch control, speed adjustment, and speed readout functions.

The A89301GESSR is housed in a 24-pin 4mm × 4mm QFN package with a exposed pad (suffix ES). The package is lead-free and utilises a 100% matt tin-plated lead frame.
