The MC33777ATA1AE is a battery junction box controller IC specifically designed for automotive applications such as hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and electric vehicles (EV), as well as industrial applications (ESS).

This device can independently drive two pyrotechnic switches and includes a wide range of diagnostic tools. The MC33777ATA1AE is capable of redundantly measuring current, voltage and temperature. In addition, it also processes the results and detects fault events (short circuits, system overloads, collision signals, etc.). These events can be combined to trigger a response without a microcontroller (GPIO, pyrotechnic switch).
