The RTL8392M is a 28-port 10/100/1000M managed Ethernet MAC switch controller. It supports 7-to-5 Gbps QSGMII connections to an external 28 port, a gigabit Ethernet physical transceiver. The mode is 24 10/100/1000 BASE-T+4 combination 10/100/1000 BASE-T/SFP.

The RTL8392M is embedded with a MIPS-34Kc CPU with a frequency of up to 700 MHz. It supports 32-bit data bus, 32 M bytes SPI flash memory (3-byte mode) or 64 MB SPI flash memory (4-byte mode) and 256 m bytes DDR 3 SDRAM(maximum). It also embeds a 96 KB SRAM, which can be used for time-sensitive applications.

Characteristics

The RTL8392M has a switching capacity of 56 Gbps.

The RTL8392M supports 7 to 5 Gbps QSGMII to the 10/100/1000 M Ethernet physical layer at port 28.

The RTL8392M supports two mode options.

24 10/100/1000BASE-T+2 SGMII/100 BASE-FX/1000BASE-X

Maximum 32 MByte SPI Flash memory (3-byte mode) or maximum 64 MByte spi Flash(4-byte mode) and maximum 256 MBytes DDR 3 SDRAM(for internal MIPS-34 kc)
