The HMC1096LP3E is a x2 active broadband frequency multiplier fabricated in GaAs pHEMT technology in a RoHS compliant pinless low stress injection moulded plastic SMT package. Driven by a 0 dBm signal, the frequency multiplier provides a typical output power of +12 dBm over the 3.8 to 5.6 GHz range. Fo and 3 Fo isolation is +22 dBc relative to the output signal level. With isolated I/O, this frequency multiplier is ideally suited for use in LO multiplier chains for point-to-point and VSAT radios, reducing the number of devices compared to conventional methods.
