The AS5132-HSST is a non-contact magnetic position sensor for precise 360-degree full-angle measurements. It is a system-on-chip that integrates a Hall element, analogue front-end and digital signal processing in a single device. To measure an angle, a simple two-pole magnet is rotated in the centre of the chip.

Absolute angle measurement instantly displays the angular position of the magnet with a resolution of 8.5 bits = 360 positions per revolution.

The digital data can be output serially via the interface or as a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal. Additional U, V and W outputs are available for rectification of brushless DC motors. Incremental signals are available as an option.

In addition to angle information, magnetic field strength is available as a 5-digit code.

One Time Programmable (OTP) memory is used for permanent zero angle position programming. No mechanical alignment of the magnets is required.
