The LTM4623IV is a complete 3A step-down switching mode μModule regulator in a slim 6.25mm x 6.25mm x 1.82mm LGA package with a built-in switching controller, power FETs and support components. With a switching controller, power FETs, inductors and support components built into the package, the LTM4623IV operates over an input voltage range of 4V to 20V or 2.375V to 20V with an external bias supply and supports an output voltage range of 0.6V to 5.5V set by a single external resistor. The device's high efficiency design is capable of providing up to 3A of continuous output current. Only ceramic input and output capacitors are required. 

The LTM4623IV supports optional discontinuous mode operation and output voltage tracking for supply rail sequencing. The use of its high switching frequency and current mode control allows for very fast transient response to voltage and load changes without sacrificing stability. 

Fault protection features include over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection. 

The LTM4623IV has SnPb (BGA) or RoHS compliant terminal coatings.
