The AD4008BCPZ is a 16-bit, 500kSPS pseudo-differential Successive Approximation Register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with Easy Drive features such as high impedance mode and extended acquisition phase by expanding the range of supporting circuits that can be paired with these ADCs. Provides signal chain architecture flexibility.
The ADC is powered by a single power supply (VDD), allowing the reference voltage source VREF to be applied externally and set independently of the power supply voltage. With a fast kit throughput of up to 500kSPS, the AD4008 can accurately capture high-frequency signals and implement oversampling techniques to mitigate the challenges associated with anti-aliasing filter design.
The AD4008 uses input range compression to eliminate the negative power requirement on the ADC driver amplifier while preserving the full ADC code range. In addition, the input overclamp protects the ADC input from overvoltage events, minimizes interference to the reference pin, and eliminates the need for an external protection diode.
