The LTM4658EV is a complete 10A step-down switch-mode µModule regulator in a small 4mm × 4mm × 4.32mm BGA package. The package contains the switching controller, power MOSFET, inductor, and all supporting components. Operating over an input voltage range of 2.25V to 5.5V, the LTM4658EV supports a 0.5V to VIN output voltage range set by an external resistor. Its high efficiency design provides 10A continuous output current. Only ceramic input and output capacitors are required.

The LTM4658EV uses the Silent Switcher 2 architecture with internal hot loop bypass capacitors to achieve low EMI and high efficiency at high switching frequencies.

The LTM4658EV also supports frequency synchronisation, multi-phase operation, optional pulse hopping mode operation, and output voltage tracking for power rail timing control. Its high switching frequency and current-mode architecture provide fast response to input voltage variations and load changes without sacrificing stability.

Fault protection features include over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection. the LTM4658 is RoHS compliant and lead-free.
