The A5932KLPTR three-phase motor controller uses a sine wave drive to minimise noise and vibration in high-power fans. At startup, a sinusoidal voltage profile is applied to the motor windings, causing the motor to start quietly and gradually ramp up to the desired speed. Motor speed is controlled by applying a duty cycle command to the speed (SPD) input, which can operate over a wide frequency range.
