The THS4551 fully differential amplifier provides a simple interface between single-ended sources and differential outputs to meet the needs of a wide range of high precision analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs). The combination of excellent DC accuracy, low noise and robust capacitive load drive makes it ideal for data acquisition systems with high accuracy requirements, while the amplifier and ADC work together to achieve excellent signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR).
The THS4551 has the required negative supply rail input for connecting a DC-coupled, ground-centred source signal to a single-supply differential input ADC with ultra-low DC error and drift to meet emerging 16 to 20-bit successive approximation register (SAR) input requirements. The wide range output common-mode control supports ADC operation from 1.8V to 5V supplies for ADC common-mode input requirements from 0.7V to 3.0V and beyond.
The THS4551 devices are rated for operation over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and are available in an 8-pin ultra-thin small form factor (VSSOP) package, a 16-pin ultra-thin quad flat leadless (VQFN) package and a 10-pin ultra-thin quad flat leadless (WQFN) package.
