The ADIS16577-2BMLZ is a precision microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) inertial measurement unit (IMU) that includes a three-axis gyroscope and a three-axis accelerometer.Each of the inertial sensors in the ADIS16577 has integrated signal conditioning to optimise dynamic performance. Factory calibration characterises the sensitivity, bias and calibration of each sensor. As a result, each sensor has a dynamic compensation formula that provides accurate sensor measurements under a variety of conditions.
The ADIS16577-2BMLZ provides a simple, cost-effective method for integrating accurate multi-axis inertial sensing into industrial systems, especially when compared to the complexity and investment of discrete designs. All necessary motion testing and calibration is part of the factory production process, significantly reducing system integration time. Strict quadrature alignment simplifies inertial frame alignment in navigation systems. Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and register architecture provide a simple interface for data acquisition and configuration control.
The ADIS16577-2BMLZ is available in an aluminium modular package measuring approximately 24.30 mm × 22.40 mm × 13.70 mm with a 14-lead connector interface.
