The XENSIV™ PASCO2V15 is a true CO2 sensor that combines near-infrared technology with Infineon's high signal-to-noise MEMS microphone to achieve state-of-the-art accuracy in a very small form factor. The sensor is based on the Photoacoustic Spectroscopy (PAS) principle, where CO2 molecules in the sensor chamber absorb infrared light, creating a small pressure change that is detected by an acoustic detector. With the integrated microcontroller, the CO2 concentration can be read out directly in ppm. A high degree of accuracy in CO2 readings is guaranteed.
