Product Description

The fourth generation of the SHARC® processor family is now available in a low-power floating-point DSP product-namely, the ADSP-21478BBCZ-2A-which offers higher performance, hardware-based filter accelerators, audio- and application-specific peripherals, and new memory configurations to support single-chip solutions. All devices are pin-compatible with each other and are fully code compatible with all previous SHARC processors. These latest members of the fourth-generation SHARC processor family are based on a Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) core that supports 32-bit fixed-point and 32/40-bit floating-point algorithm formats, with low-power features that make them ideal for battery-powered applications or applications with high ambient operating temperature requirements.
