The KSZ8842-32MVLI contains two 10/100 physical layer transceivers (PHYs), two MAC units, and a DMA channel integrated with the Layer 2 switch.

The KSZ8842M includes a Bus Interface Unit (BIU) that can control the KSZ8842M via an 8-, 16-, or 32-bit host interface.By using analogue circuitry in the physical layer, transmission and reception of physical signals is enhanced, resulting in improved design efficiency and reduced power consumption.
