The SHA106-MCVCZ-B is a member of the Microchip Technology Inc. CryptoAuthentication™ product family. The device provides 128-bit symmetric security for disposable and ecosystem control applications and is intended for use as a companion device. The device can be used as a companion device and is microcontroller/microprocessor independent. The device can be used in systems where the host can assist in authentication through the use of challenge-response or, for added security, it can be used with host-side security devices to perform CheckMAC operations.
