The STGAP4S is a galvanically isolated single gate driver for IGBT and SiC MOSFETs with advanced protection, configuration, and diagnostic features.The architecture of the STGAP4S isolates the channel gate driver from the control and low-voltage interface circuits through true galvanic isolation. The unique output architecture is designed to allow the use of an external MOSFET push-pull stage, which provides flexibility in current capability sizing and simplifies the parallel use of multiple power switches. 2 pre-driver outputs are optimised for this topology in terms of current capability and output voltage swing and allow the use of a negative gate drive supply.
