The MCS1806GS-5-05 device is a ±5A linear Hall effect current sensor for AC or DC current sampling. Its Hall array is differential and can cancel out any stray magnetic field. With low resistance, it allows current to flow near an IC containing a high-precision Hall effect sensor. The magnetic field generated by this current is sampled at two different points by an integrated Hall effect sensor, making it ideal for multiphase inverters, motor control, automotive systems, load detection and management, switching mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection applications.
