The MA734GQ non-contact angle sensor detects the absolute angular position of a permanent magnet, typically a diameter magnetised cylinder on a rotating shaft.The MA734GQ features fast data acquisition and processing for accurate angle measurements from static angle measurements to high speed rotations. In servo motor applications, adjustable digital filtering optimises control loop performance.

The MPS MA734GQ non-contact angle sensor supports a wide range of magnetic field strengths and spatial configurations, including end-of-axis and side-axis (off-axis mounting) configurations. The MA734 can be used for push-button human-machine interface (HMI) applications or diagnostic purposes, depending on the configurable thresholds detected by the magnetic field strength.

On-chip non-volatile memory (NVM) stores configuration parameters such as reference zero angle and magnetic field detection thresholds. In addition, the MA734 can be programmed using volatile registers without accessing the NVM.

The MA734GQ sensor is available in a QFN-16 (3mm x 3mm) package.
