The STM32MP153CAA3 device is based on the high-performance dual-core ARM® Cortex®-A7 32-bit RISC kernel architecture and is packaged in a 448 pin LFBGA package with operating frequencies up to 650 MHz. The Cortex-A7 processor is a very power efficient application processor designed to deliver rich performance for high-end wearables as well as other low power embedded and consumer applications. It provides 20% more single-threaded performance than the Cortex-A5 and offers similar performance to the cortex-A9.
The STM32MP153CAA3 microprocessor is also embedded with the Cortex®-M4 32-bit RISC kernel and operates at up to 209 MHz. The Cortex-M4 core features floating-point unit (FPU) single precision and supports Arm® single precision data processing instructions and data types.
