Product Description

The BQ25898DYFFR is a highly integrated 4A switch mode battery charge management and system power path management device for lithium ion and lithium polymer batteries. The device supports high input voltage fast charging.

Charging efficiencies of up to 92% (at 3A charging current) and 91% (at 4A charging current)

Optimised for high voltage inputs (9V/12V)

Low-power PFM mode for light-load operation

USB On-the-Go (OTG), adjustable output voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V

Optional 500KHz/1.5MHz boost converter with up to 2.4A output current

94% boost efficiency at 5V, 1A output current

Precise intermittent mode overcurrent protection

Single input, supports USB input and adjustable high voltage adapter

Supports 3.9V to 14V input voltage range

Input current limiting (100mA to 3.25A with 50mA resolution) with support for USB2.0, USB3.0 standards and high voltage adapters

Maximum power tracking via input voltage limit (up to 14V) for all types of adapters

Automatic detection of USB SDP, CDP, DCP, and non-standard adapters (bq25898)
