Product Description

The BQ25703ARSNR is a synchronous NVDC battery buck/boost charge controller that provides a high efficiency solution with a low component count for space-constrained multi-compound battery charging applications.


The NVDC-1 configuration stabilises the system voltage within the battery voltage range, but not below the minimum system voltage. The system continues to operate even when the battery is fully discharged or removed. When the load power exceeds the input source rating, the battery enters recharge mode and prevents the system from crashing.


The BQ25703ARSNR charges the battery from a variety of input sources such as USB adapters, high voltage USB PD sources, and conventional adapters.


During a charge, the charger sets the converter to buck, boost, or buck/boost configuration based on the input source and battery condition. The charger automatically switches between buck, boost, and buck/boost configurations without host control.


In the absence of an input source, the BQ25703ARSNR supports the On-the-Go (OTG) function with one to four batteries to generate 4.48V to 20.8V on VBUS. In OTG mode, the charger regulates the output voltage and output current.


The BQ25703ARSNR monitors adapter current, battery current, and system power. The flexibly programmable PROCHOT output goes directly to the CPU and can be derated as needed.
