The STM32MP157CAD3 microprocessor is based on a high-performance dual-core ARM® Cortex®-A7 32-bit RISC core in a 257-TFBGA package with operating frequencies up to 650MHz and temperature ratings in the -40°C to 125°C range. The Cortex-A7 processor is a very energy efficient application processor designed to deliver rich performance for high-end wearables as well as other low power embedded and consumer applications. It provides 20% more single-threaded performance than the Cortex-A5 and offers similar performance to the cortex-A9.
