The LTC3226EUD is a 2-cell series ultracapacitor charger with a standby PowerPath controller. A low dropout voltage regulator and power failure comparator are used to switch between normal and standby modes. The constant input current ultracapacitor charger charges two ultracapacitors to an output voltage of 2.5 V to 5.3 V. The charger input limit is programmable with an external resistor and has a maximum current of 315mA.
