The MLX91220KDC-ABR-025-SP current sensors are supplied with a 5V voltage and provide high common mode field rejection through differential sensing. They sense the current flowing through the SOIC package leadframe, minimising the thermal losses of standard solutions. These 0A to 50A integrated Hall-effect sensors feature on-chip dual overcurrent detection (OCD) and independent outputs, reducing the need for an external comparator for overcurrent protection. The all-in-one MLX91220 sensor provides the ideal balance of small size, low impedance, high bandwidth, and isolation, and the Melexis MLX91220 current sensor offers high-speed detection with a bandwidth of DC to 300kHz and a response time of 2μs. Typical applications include AC and DC chargers, power drives, DC-DC converters, solar, power supplies, and demand/load control.
