The A3988SEVTR-1-T is a quad DMOS full-bridge driver capable of driving up to two stepper motors or four DC motors. Each full-bridge includes a pulse-width modulated (PWM) current regulator with a fixed off-time, and an adjustable current regulator. 2-bit nonlinear digital-to-analog converters (DACs) provide full-, half-, and quarter-step control of stepper motors, as well as forward, half-, and quarter-step control of DC motors. the PWM current regulator uses Allegro™'s patented hybrid attenuation The PWM current regulator uses Allegro's™ patented hybrid attenuation mode to reduce motor noise, improve step accuracy, and reduce power consumption.
