The IGI60F1414A1L incorporates a dedicated gate driver consisting of two 140 mΩ (typ. R DS(on))/600 V enhancement mode half-bridge power stage CoolGaN™ HEMTs in a small 8x8 mm QFN-28 package.

Therefore, it is well suited to support the design of high-density AC-DC chargers and adapters utilizing the superior switching behavior of CoolGaN™ power switches. Infineon's CoolGaN™ and associated power switches offer very robust gate structures. A minimum on-resistance R DS(on) is always guaranteed, independent of temperature and parameter variations, when driven by a continuous gate current of several milliamps in the "on" state.

The driver utilizes on-chip coreless transformer technology (CT) for signal level translation to the high side. In addition, CT guarantees robustness even for very fast switching transients above 300V/ns.
