The AD2432WCCPZY21 Automotive Audio Bus (A2B) transceiver supports direct point-to-point connectivity, allowing multiple Daisy chain connection nodes in different locations to provide and/or use time division multiplexed channel content.

A2B is a single-master, multi-slave node system, where the transceiver in the master controller is the master node. The master node generates clocks, synchronization, and framing for all slave nodes. The main A2B transceiver can be programmed via a control port (I2C/SPI) for configuration and read-back. An extension of the control port protocol is embedded in the A2B data stream.

The transceiver can be directly connected to general-purpose digital signal processors (DSPS), field programmable gate arrays (FPgas), application-specific integrated circuits (ASics), microphones, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (Dacs) and codecs via multi-channel I2S/ TDM interfaces. It also offers a pulse density modulation (PDM) interface for direct connection to up to four PDM digital microphones.
