The ADPD2140WBCPZN is an optical sensor for measuring the angle of incident infrared light. The light angle calculated using the response has a linearity of ±5° over a ±35° angular field of view. The radiatively sensitive area of 0.31 mm2 provides low junction capacitance and low dark current, enabling high quality integration with the photometric front-end of the device. Can be used in conjunction with a synchronised infrared light source, such as a light emitting diode (LED), to detect user hand movement for gesture recognition.
