The LT8698SEV-1 USB chargers are compact, high efficiency, synchronous monolithic buck switching regulators designed to power 5V USB VBUS supply rails with currents up to 3A and input voltages up to 42V. Programmable cable dropout compensation maintains accurate 5V VBUS regulated voltages even over long cables (e.g., automotive wiring harnesses) with the LT8698S separated from the USB socket. Features Silent Switcher technology and optional spread spectrum modulation for ultra-low EMI/EMC. Supports a variety of portable device charger profiles including USB BC 1.2 CDP, DCP and SDP as well as generic proprietary profiles.
