The HMC797APM5E is a GaAs MMIC pHEMT distributed power amplifier that operates over the DC to 22 GHz frequency range.The amplifier provides 13.5 dB gain, 39 dBm output IP3, and +28 dBm output power (1 dB gain compression) with a power consumption of 400 mA (using a +10 V supply). The versatile PA has a positive gain slope over the 4 to 20 GHz range, making it ideal for EW, ECM, radar, and test equipment applications. The amplifier I/Os are internally matched to 50 Ω for easy integration into multichip modules (MCMs), and are available in a pinless QFN 5 × 5 mm surface-mount package, eliminating the need for external matching components.
