The TLF51801ELV regulator is capable of driving external power stages (n/n-MOS) with loads up to 10 A. The TLF51801ELV regulator is also capable of driving external power stages with loads up to 10 A. The current limit function can use either the Rdson of the HS switch or an external shunt resistor. The output voltage is adjustable with a 2% tolerance. The duty cycle of the device can be greater than 99%. Bootstrap diodes are integrated to save external components. The switching frequency can be set between 100 kHz and 700 kHz and can also be synchronised with an external clock. During start-up, an integrated soft-start function limits the peak rush current and prevents overshoot of the output voltage.
