The CYPM1211-40LQXI is designed for dual role port (DRP) USB Type-C PD applications. The Infineon Technologies PMG1-S2 features 128KB of Flash memory, 8KB of SRAM, 20 GPIOs, a USB device controller, a cryptographic engine, a voltage regulator withstanding 20 V and a pair of FETs for switching the 5 V (VCONN) power supply.The device has an integrated gate driver for external VBUS FETs and system-level ESD protection, and is available in a 40- QFN and 42-CSP packages. The solution optimises space and BOM while being easily customised through the ModusToolbox™ development environment and the EZ-PD PMG1 SDK.
