The LTM8054EY is a 36VIN, buck-boost µModule® (micromodule) regulator. The package includes the switching controller, power switch, inductor, and support components. A resistor to set the switching frequency, a resistor divider to set the output voltage, and input and output capacitors are all that is needed to complete the design. Additional features such as average input and output current regulation can be achieved with a small number of components. The operating input voltage range is 5V to 36V and the output voltage regulation range is 1.2V to 36V. The SYNC input and CLKOUT output can be easily synchronised.
