The ADXRS649BBGZ is a complete angular rate sensor (gyroscope) utilising Analog Devices, Inc.'s patented high capacity BiMOS gyroscope. The advanced differential quad-sensor design eliminates the effect of linear acceleration on the gyroscope, allowing it to provide rate sensing in harsh environments such as shock and vibration. The output signal RATEOUT (B1, A2) is a voltage, proportional to the angular rate. The output is proportional to the supplied reference supply. An external capacitor is used to set the bandwidth. The measurement range can be extended to ±50,000°/sec by adding an external resistor.
