The LTC3412AEUF is a high efficiency monolithic synchronous step-down DC/DC converter with a constant frequency current mode architecture that operates over a 2.25V to 5.5V input voltage range and provides a regulated output voltage of 0.8V to 5V with up to 3A output current. It operates over an input voltage range of 2.25V to 5.5V and provides regulated output voltages from 0.8V to 5V with output currents up to 3A. An internal synchronous power switch with 77mΩ on-resistance improves efficiency and eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode. The switching frequency is set by an external resistor and can also be synchronised with an external clock. 100% duty cycle provides low dropout operation, extending battery life in portable systems. OPTI-LOOP® compensation optimises transient response under a wide range of load and output capacitance conditions.
