The digital transmission circuitry of the ATA8350-7MQW device ensures maximum flexibility in generating UWB pulse signals. The transmitter has a controllable envelope shape and is capable of generating precise pulse durations from less than 1ns to more than 10ns. The device also generates carrier frequencies from 6.2 GHz to 7.8 GHz, ensures ETSI and FCC voltage regulation compliance, and features programmable transmit peak output power of up to 9 dBm typical.The ATA8350-7MQW front-end (FE) receiver has excellent sensitivity, ensuring a good link budget for RF communications. A digital baseband signal processing unit ensures highly stable sub-nanosecond time-of-flight (ToF) measurements.  The ATA8350-7MQW includes a MAC layer for safe distance ground measurements and data communication for proximity-based access control. The layer can be configured to ensure different security levels.
