The F2800157QRHBRQ1 32-bit 120MHz microcontroller (MCU) is powered by a 32-bit lock-step dual C28x CPU, making the device ASIL B-rated functionally safe without excessive software overhead. The real-time control subsystem is based on TI's 32-bit C28x DSP cores, providing 120MHz signal processing performance for floating-point or fixed-point code running through on-chip flash or SRAM. The C28x CPU is further enhanced by the Triangulation Maths Unit (TMU) and the Vertical Cyclic Redundancy Check (VCRC) extended instruction set, which accelerates the speed of algorithms commonly used for critical real-time control systems.
