The MLX91221KDC-ABR-020-RE is an integrated current sensor that senses current flowing through the low impedance leadframe of a SOIC package. By fixing the position of the current conductor relative to the monolithic CMOS sensor, a fully integrated, factory calibrated Hall-effect current sensor is obtained. Inside the package, the magnetic flux density generated by the current is sensed separately by two sets of Hall plates. The effect is therefore minimised at the fast analogue front end. The remaining signal residue is amplified to provide a high speed linear analogue output voltage.
