The DRV5023AJEDBZRQ1 device is a chopper stabilised Hall effect sensor that provides a magnetic field sensing solution with excellent sensitivity stability and integrated protection features over the full temperature range.

The DRV5023-Q1 open-drain output will go low when the applied magnetic flux density exceeds the BOP threshold. The output will remain low until the flux density drops below the BRP and then becomes high impedance. The output current sinking capability is 30mA, and reverse polarity protection over a wide operating voltage range of up to -22V (2.7 to 38V) makes this device suitable for a wide variety of automotive applications.

The device provides internal protection against reverse power conditions, load dips, and output short circuit or overcurrent faults.
