Automotive 2.5-V to 5.5-V Hall Effect Unipolar Switches

Product Description

The DRV5021A2EDBZRQ1 is a low voltage digital switching Hall effect sensor for high speed automotive applications. Powered from a 2.5V to 5.5V supply, the device detects magnetic flux density and provides a digital output based on a predefined magnetic threshold.


The device detects a magnetic field perpendicular to the package face. When the applied magnetic flux density exceeds the magnetic operating point BOP threshold, the open drain output of the device will drive a low voltage. When the flux density falls below the magnetic release point (BRP) threshold, the output becomes high impedance, and the hysteresis created by the separation of the BOP and BRP helps prevent output errors caused by input noise. This configuration allows system designs to be more robust against noise disturbances.


The device maintains excellent performance over a wide ambient temperature range of -40°C to +150°C. The device is designed to be used in a wide variety of applications.
