The MAX20057ATIJ/VY is a highly integrated automotive triple output PMIC that includes two synchronous buck converters, available in 2.1MHz and 400kHz. A boost controller can be used to power the buck converters and keep them regulated during cold-start operation down to 2.1kHz. The two high-voltage synchronous buck converters operate 180° out of phase. The ICs operate with input voltages from 3.5V to 36V and can operate at 95% duty cycle under power-down conditions. It is suitable for medium- to high-power applications that require operation over a wide input voltage range, such as applications with medium- to high-power requirements over a wide input voltage range, such as in automotive cold-start or engine stop-start conditions. The high switching frequency of up to 2.1MHz allows the use of small external components, reduces output ripple and ensures that there is no AM band interference. The switching frequency is fixed at 400kHz or 2.1MHz.
