March 2, - At MWC 2023, China Unicom, ZTE and GWT jointly announced the LTE Cat 1 bis module, Yanfei VN200.

The launch of the industrial-grade Yanfei VN200 module brings optimized speed and reduced battery power consumption to low and medium-speed IoT, enabling the expansion of smart meters, trackers, shared two-wheelers, security, pan-payment and other location-based industry scenarios. The VN200 module is designed to be used in a variety of applications such as smart meters, trackers, shared two-wheelers, security, pan-payment and other location-based industries. The Yanfei VN200 module is based on GWT's Cat.1 module reference design based on the ZTE 8850 platform, making it easy for terminals to connect to 4G networks.

The Yanfei VN200 module supports full-band LTE Cat.1 networks, providing a maximum downlink rate of 10.3Mbps and a maximum uplink rate of 5.1Mbps, in a 20.2mm*22.2mm*2.3mm size, meeting the speed requirements of 80% of low to medium speed small IoT devices. In addition, thanks to the LTE Cat.1 network and the Spreadtrum 8850 chip, the Yanfei VN200 module has a better battery life than similar modules, with a 2000mAh battery that can support continuous operation of the terminal for more than 500 days in low-power mode. In terms of other features, the VN200 has the flexibility to support GNSS, WiFi-Scan and other functions.

The VN200 also comes with a built-in eSIM SDK developed by Unicom Huasun, which helps the terminal to develop and adapt through a simple interface. At the same time, the VN200 is built with rich network protocols, integrated with several common interfaces, and supports various drivers and software functions (such as Windows / Android / Linux and other mainstream operating systems). At present, Yanfei VN200 module has been widely used in the outdoor cameras of China Unicom's digital village project.
