The DLPC964 controller can be used with the DLP991U Digital Micromirror device (DMD). The controller provides a high-speed data and control interface to the DMD, enabling binary graphics rates up to 12.4kHz. These fast graphics rates make DLP technology stand out from other spatial light modulators and provide a strategic advantage for devices that need fast, precise, and programmable light source control capabilities. The DLPC964 provides the required clock pulse and timing information for DMD. The controller offers unique functionality and value and is ideally suited to support a wide range of direct imaging, industrial and advanced display applications.

In DLP based electronic solutions, the image data from the DLPC964 input port to the projected image is 100% digital data. Images always remain in digital format and are not converted to analog signals. The DLPC964 processes digital input images and converts the data to the image format required by the DMD to ensure correct display. The DMD then directs the light to the location determined by the pixel data loaded into the DMD.
