Overview
The BQ79614-Q1 provides high-precision battery voltage measurement for 14S battery modules in HEV/EV medium and high voltage battery management systems in times up to 200μs. This series of monitors offers different channel options in the same package type, while offering pin-to-pin compatibility and supporting a high degree of reuse of existing software and hardware on any platform. With the integrated front-end filter, the system can be implemented using a simple, low-voltage differential RC filter on the battery input channel. Integrated post-ADC low-pass filters can perform filtered, direct-current-like voltage measurements to better calculate state of charge (SOC). This device supports autonomous internal battery balancing and automatically pauses and restores balance by monitoring temperature to avoid overheating conditions.
