Product description
The ADS981x 8-channel Data acquisition (DAQ) system is based on a dual-channel, synchronous sampling, 18-bit Successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). Each channel of the ADS981x has a full analog front end with input clamp protection circuitry. It also comes with a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), 1MΩ input impedance, and user-selectable bandwidth options. The high input impedance allows direct connection to transformers and sensors, eliminating the need for an external drive circuit. The ADS981x accepts unipolar or bipolar inputs up to ±12V common-mode voltage.
The device also has a 4.096V reference voltage for the ADC and a 2.5V reference voltage output for the external circuit. With a digital interface that supports 1.2V to 1.8V operation, the ADS981x can be used without an external voltage level converter.
