The CC1352R SimpleLink Multi-Band Wireless Microcontroller (MCU) is a multi-protocol Sub-1GHz and 2.4GHz wireless MCU that is designed for wireless M-Bus, IEEE 802.15.4g, IPv6-enabled Smart Objects (6LoWPAN), Thread, Zigbee®, KNX RF, Wi -SUN®, Low Power Bluetooth® 5 and proprietary systems (including TI 15.4 stacks).

Description: The CC1352R1F3RGZR device is a cost-effective and ultra-low power 2.4GHz and sub-1GHz RF device in the SimpleLink™ MCU platform. With extremely low active RF and microcontroller (MCU) currents, as well as sleep currents below 1µA and parity RAM retention up to 80KB, the device enables long battery life and supports operation with small coin cell batteries as well as energy harvesting applications.
Outstanding features of the device include:
- Multi-band device with concurrent multi-protocol support for Sub-1GHz and 2.4GHz via DMM driver.
- SimpleLink™ CC13x2 and CC26x2 software development kits (SDKs) provide rich and flexible protocol stack support.
- Maximum transmit power consumption is +14dBm (24.9mA) for Sub-1GHz and +5dBm (9.6mA) for 2.4GHz.
- Low standby current of 0.85µA (full RAM retention) to extend battery life in wireless applications.
- Supports industrial temperatures with a minimum standby current of 5µA at 85°C.
- Advanced detection is enabled by a programmable, autonomous, ultra-low power sensor controller CPU with fast wake-up. For example, the sensor controller is capable of 1Hz ADC sampling at 1µA system current.
- Low SER (Soft Error Rate) FIT (Failure in Time Base) for extended operational life without disrupting the industrial market, and SRAM parity is always on to prevent damage from potential radiation events.
- Software-controlled, dedicated radio controller (Arm® Cortex®-M0) provides flexible, low-power RF transceiver functionality with support for multiple physical layers and RF standards.
- Excellent radio sensitivity (-121dBm) and robustness (selectivity and blocking) performance for SimpleLink™ long-range mode.
The CC1352R device is part of the SimpleLink™ MCU platform, which includes Wi-Fi®, low-power Bluetooth, Thread, Zigbee, Sub-1GHz MCUs, and host MCUs that share a common, easy-to-use development environment with a single-core software development kit (SDK) and a rich toolset. With the one-time integration of the SimpleLink™ platform, any combination of devices in the portfolio can be added to your design, enabling 100% code reuse when design requirements change.
