The MAX5353BCUA is a 12-bit low-power voltage output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) launched by Maxim, featuring an SPI interface. It has the following key characteristics
A 12-bit DAC with a configurable output amplifier
+5V single power supply (MAX5352)
+3.3V single power supply (MAX5353)
Low power supply current
The normal working mode is 0.28mA
The turn-off mode is 2µA
It adopts an 8-pin µMAX package
Power-on reset can clear the DAC output to zero
Compatible with SPI/QSPI and MICROWIRE
Digital input of Schmitt trigger for direct optocoupler interface
The +3.3V MAX5353 interfaces directly with the +5V logic
With these features, the MAX5353BCUA is suitable for scenarios that require high-precision voltage output, such as precision instrumentation and industrial control fields.
Introduction
The MAX5353BCUA device integrates low power consumption, voltage output, a 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and a precision output amplifier, and is available in an 8-pin µMAX® package. This DAC is powered by A single +3.3V power supply, and its power supply current consumption is all less than 280µA.
The inverting input of the output amplifier enables users to achieve specific gain configurations, remote detection and high output current capabilities. Therefore, the MAX5353BCUA is highly suitable for a variety of applications, including industrial process control. Other features include software shutdown and power-on reset. The serial interface is compatible with SPI™/QSPI™ and MICROWIRE™. The MAX5353BCUA features a dual-buffered input and is organized in the form of one input register followed by one DAC register. The 16-bit serial word loads the data into the input register. The DAC register can be updated independently or simultaneously with the input register. All logic inputs are compatible with TTL/CMOS logic and buffered by Schmitt triggers to support direct interface with optocouplers.
