It is reported that the CEO of MediaTek publicly stated for the first time the content of cooperation with Intel, saying that digital TV and Wi-Fi chips with mature processes will be commissioned by Intel, and emphasized that they maintain close cooperation with TSMC in advanced processes.

According to MediaTek’s second-quarter financial report, its consolidated revenue in the second quarter was approximately RMB 35.195 billion, an increase of 9.1% month-on-month and 23.9% year-on-year, continuing to hit a new single-quarter high. In the past few years, MediaTek has achieved a leading position in mobile phones, wired and wireless networking, and TV through structural market share expansion and profitability enhancement.

MediaTek CEO also pointed out that in the face of short-term market uncertainty, MediaTek will continue to actively invest in key technologies. With its diverse product portfolio and leading industry position, it is believed that MediaTek will be able to respond to short-term market challenges stably, and it is expected that the full-year revenue in 2022 is expected to achieve double-digit percentage growth of nearly 20%, and the operating gross profit margin is targeted at 48%~50%.
