Product overview

The AD5691R belongs to the nanoDAC+® family and is a low-power, single-channel, 12-bit buffered voltage output DAC. The device integrates a default 2.5V reference voltage source that provides 2 ppm/°C drift. Output range can be set programmatically to 0 V to VREF or 0 V to 2 x VREF. Single power supply from 2.7V to 5.5V ensures monotonicity by design.


The internal power-on reset circuit ensures that zero levels are written to the DAC register when it is powered on and the internal output buffer is configured to normal mode. The AD5691R has a relevant break mode that reduces device power consumption to 2 μA (maximum) at 5 V and offers a software-selectable output load.


The AD5691R uses the I2C interface. Some device options also offer asynchronous RESET pins and VLOGIC pins that are compatible with 1.8V.
