1. Overview

The ADM7172ACPZ-2.5 Ultra-low noise, high PSRR, fast transient response CMOS low voltage differential linear regulator delivers up to 500mA in 2.3V to 6.5V. These high output current Ldos are suitable for high performance analog and mixed signal circuits that regulate the 6V to 1.2V supply rail. The device's advanced proprietary architecture provides high power rejection, low noise, and superior line and load transient response with only a small 4.7μF ceramic output capacitor. These LDO regulators have an output noise voltage of 5μV rms and are not affected by the output voltage.

Available in an 8-pin, 3mm × 3mm LFCSP package, the ADM7172 offers excellent thermal performance for thin, small-size applications requiring up to 500mA output current. Examples include analog to digital converters & digital to analog converter circuits, precision amplifiers, PLL/VCO, clock ics, communications & infrastructure, Medical & Healthcare, industrial & instrumentation, etc.

Initial accuracy: -0.5% (minimum), +1% (maximum)

Accuracy over the entire line, load and temperature range: ±1.5%

Static current: IGND = 0.7mA (no load)

Low turn-off current: 0.25μA (VIN = 5V)

Stable operation is achieved with a small 4.7µF ceramic output capacitor

Adjustable fixed output voltage options: 1.2V to 5.0V

Adjustable output voltage range: 1.2 V to VIN − VDO
